Red Line Plans Victoria

Fast, Accurate & LCV-Compliant Plans for Licensed Premises

At Red Line Plans Victoria, we specialise in preparing Liquor Control Victoria (LCV) compliant red line plans for liquor licence applications and variations across Victoria. Whether you’re opening a new venue, extending your licensed area, or updating your layout, our team delivers precise, regulation-ready plans that meet all LCV requirements.

We work with bars, restaurants, bottle shops, event operators, and venue managers to ensure every plan submitted is accurate, professional, and fully compliant.

What is a Red Line Plan?

A red line plan is a mandatory component of any liquor licence or BYO permit application (excluding pre-retail licences). It defines the exact area where alcohol can be supplied, consumed, or stored, and is submitted to LCV as part of the application process or upon request.

These plans are also required when:

  • You are varying or transferring a liquor licence
  • Your premises layout has changed internally or externally
  • You’re adding kerbside dining or outdoor areas
  • LCV or Victoria Police request a copy under Section 130 of the Liquor Control Reform Act

What Must a Red Line Plan Include?

To be accepted by LCV, a red line plan must:

  • Be at least A4-sized, neat, and legible
  • Include a North arrow, address, and nearby street names
  • Clearly outline the licensed area with a red line
  • Show dimensions and total licensed area
  • Identify all key internal features (e.g. bar, kitchen, bathrooms)
  • Indicate temporary or outdoor structures (e.g. bollards, ropes)
  • Describe any Authorised Areas like footpath dining zones

Failing to meet these standards can cause delays or rejections which is why expert preparation is critical.
