The Plough Hotel Redevelopment, Myrniong

Planning approval for alterations and expansion of the heritage-listed Plough Hotel in Myrniong, involving land use, buildings and works approvals and coordination of multiple specialist consultants to deliver a compliant and context-responsive outcome.

Redevelopment of a Historic Country Hotel

OTL Consulting Group was engaged to manage the planning approval process for proposed buildings and works at The Plough Hotel, a long-standing rural hotel of local heritage significance. The proposal sought to upgrade and expand the venue while retaining its historic character and role within the township.

Heritage and Land Use Considerations

The planning process required detailed assessment of heritage impacts, land use permissibility, and built-form response within a sensitive township and rural interface context. OTL prepared the town planning report and coordinated the design response to ensure the proposal balanced operational needs with heritage and policy requirements.

Multi-Consultant Coordination

The application involved extensive coordination with sub-consultants including a building surveyor, traffic engineer, draftsman, acoustic engineer and other specialists. OTL acted as lead consultant, managing inputs across disciplines and delivering an integrated approval package capable of supporting long-term operation of a key regional hospitality venue.
