Work Club Olderfleet Planning & Liquor Licensing, Melbourne CBD

Planning and liquor licensing approvals for Work Club Olderfleet, a members’ workspace and hospitality venue in Melbourne’s CBD, including objection management and end-to-end liaison with Council and the Victorian Liquor Commission.

CBD Workspace and Hospitality Venue

OTL Consulting Group was engaged to provide planning and liquor licensing services for Work Club Olderfleet, a members-only workspace and hospitality venue located within a landmark CBD building. The project required careful alignment between the approved use, internal layout, and operational model of the venue.

Planning Approval and Objection Management

OTL managed the planning permit process, including preparation of application documentation, coordination with project consultants, and liaison with Council. The application attracted multiple objections, which were addressed through detailed written responses, stakeholder engagement, and ongoing negotiation with Council officers to secure an outcome consistent with the client’s objectives.

Liquor Licensing and Regulatory Delivery

Following planning approval, OTL obtained an on-premises liquor licence for the venue, including advice on licence structure, preparation and lodgement of the application, and management of objections through Liquor Control Victoria. This ensured the venue could commence operations with all statutory approvals in place.
